Several supermodels have proved that acting is more than skin deep, but Kathy Ireland is not one of them. In this 1980s twist on Journey To The Center Of The Earth, she plays an awkward teen in search of her missing archaeologist father, only to stumble into a deeply underground civilization unaware of life on the surface. Adventure ensues. Ireland brings the beauty, to be sure. But it comes at a price, as the most memorable part of this movie, her punishingly squeaky voice, is something we’d consider getting electro-shock to forget. Jules Verne owes a tip of his hat to Joel and the bots for doing to Alien From L.A. what Alien From L.A. did to him.
